Plain answers to the questions brands ask before they hand over their logistics. No fluff, and real numbers wherever we have them.
Costs and choosing a partner
How much does ecommerce fulfilment cost in Dubai?
Most of the cost is the delivery, not the warehouse. On our published rates a typical order under 5 kg costs roughly AED 23–27 all in — storage, pick and pack and delivery — of which AED 18 is the delivery itself.
How to choose a 3PL in the UAE: a 20-question checklist
Choose the provider whose total cost per order, cut-off time, COD terms and integration fit how you actually sell — and who answers these twenty questions in writing. Headline rates matter less than the answers.
A 3PL (third-party logistics provider) is a company that stores your stock and ships your orders for you: holding inventory, picking and packing each order, delivering it, collecting cash on delivery and handling returns.
Cash on delivery lets a customer pay when the parcel arrives. It lowers the trust barrier for new brands, but adds three costs: cash handling, slower access to your money, and refused parcels. The goal is not to drop COD, but to run it well.
Peak season fulfilment in the UAE: Ramadan, Eid and White Friday
Book warehouse capacity and get stock in at least two to three weeks before a peak, freeze your packing instructions, stock up on packaging, and plan around your 3PL's cut-off. Most peak-season problems are simply stock that arrived late.
A move goes smoothly when three things are ready before any stock moves: clean SKU data, a written packing SOP, and a tested store connection. Then move stock in one planned transfer and switch orders over on a quiet day.
